Itinalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Court of Appeals presiding justice Andres Reyes, Jr. bilang bagong Supreme Court Associate Justice.

Kasunod ng pagretiro ni Supreme Court associate justice Bienvenido Reyes noong Hulyo a-sais ng taong kasalukuyan.

Si Reyes ay anak ng dati ring presiding justice ng CA na si Andres Reyes, Sr.

Nagsilbi rin siyang prosecutor at chief legal office ng Office of the Tanodbayan, naging hukom sa Metropolitan Trial Court ng Makati at Regional Trial Court sa San Mateo, Rizal.

Si Reyes, Jr. ang ika-isandaan at pitumpu’t pitong associate justice ng kataas-taasang hukuman at nagtapos sa ateneo law school.

Pangatlo naman siyang appointee ni Duterte kasunod nina associate justices Samuel Martires at Noel Tijam na kaparehong fraternity mate ng pangulo.
