Matapos mabanggit ng Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa kanyang ikalawang State of the  Nation Address, itinanggi ni Jose Maria Sison, founder mg Communist Party of the Philippines na siya ay may colon cancer.

Matatandaan na nag-desisyon ang Pangulo na putulin na ang pakikipagusap sa National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) kamakailan at muling nabanggit ng Pangulo ang isyung ito noong lunes sa kanyang SONA.

“This is a blatant lie. I was hospitalized for one month under Rheumatology Department of the Utrecht University Medical Center and was released with a clean bill of health on March 20” apela ni Joma matapos ang SONA.

Matapos umano ang tatlong linggong gamutan at isang linggong obserbasyon, siya ay gumaling. Walang nakitang kahit anong sakit na may relasyon sa cancer o cardiac problem, ayon sa komunistang lider.

“It is Duterte who has to explain his disappearances for medical reasons because the public is entitled to know everything that pertains to his suitability for public office,” dagdag ni Joma.
