TUNAY na misteryoso ang mga obra ni Van Gogh tulad ng kanyang “Olive Trees” na ipininta noong 1889 kung saan sa tulong ng isang surgical microscope ay nadiskubre ang nakatagong maliit na tipaklong na nasa ilalim ng isa pang patong ng pintura.

Ito ay nakita ni Mary Schafer, isang paintings conservator mula sa Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art sa Missouri. “I came across what I first thought was the impression of a tiny leaf,” ika ni Schafer. “But then, I discovered it was in fact a tiny insect.”

Ang mga conservators tulad ni Schafer ay mistulang mga detectives na lumulutas at dumidiskubre ng mga palatandaan at iba pang detalye sa mga obra upang mapag-aralan pa ng mas mahusay ang kasaysayan at konteksto ng mga ito.

“I am delighted we have set the record. I’m very proud indeed to be a part of Guinness World Records Day, it is a pleasure and a privilege to have our unique creation recognized and celebrated all round the world,” ika ni Browning.
