BUBUHAYIN ng Philippine National Police ang tourist police sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).

Ayon kay PNP Chief Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa, inatasan niya si PNP Directorate for Operations Director Police Major General Emmanuel Licup upang i-reactive ang Tourist-Oriented Police for Community Order and Protection (TOPCOP) at pagpapalakas sa Tourist Police Assistance Desks (TPAD).

Sinabi ni Gamboa na mahalaga ang tourist police upang istriktong maipatupad ang health protocols sa mga tourist destination na binuksan sa ilalim ng MGCQ.

Magtatayo rin ang PNP ng Tourist Police Assistance Desks at Tourist Police Outpost sa pakikipagtulungan ng DOT Regional Offices at Local Tourism Councils.

Maliban sa pagtiyak ng health protocols, magbibigay din ang tourist police ng karagdagang seguridad sa local tourists at mga establisyemento gayundin sa tourists-related security and safety issues.
