Christian Guaves was a fresh graduate when he joined Congrande Furniture. The owner of the company is his sister with her partner, Maricon Deres, who helped him during his college years.
In 2012, Congrande Furniture was established. During its early years, they faced many challenges such as low profit, lack of skilled workers, painstaking behavioural development, outdated marketing strategies, and poor entrepreneurial mind-set. However, through attending entrepreneurial seminars, skills training, workshops, benchmarking and business continuity planning of various government agencies especially with DTI and by attending the KMME Program, mentors and inspirational speakers gave more positive impacts on the business. They learned to look ahead before disruptions occur and created strategies for solutions.
These inspirations gave them reasons to continue and improve wherever field they are in. Moreover, the company business is giving back the opportunity to provide employment to their community and helping their family as well. They also organize tree planting activities in partnership with some LGUs and officials, sponsors and joins local and private activities that promote well-being and nature protection.
“For aspiring entrepreneurs, appreciate even our small improvements. Be thankful for each blessing and we shall not forget that whatever we do, we do it for Him,” Mr. Guaves of Congrande Furniture said.
